Yanukovych gives instructions to support real economy

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych gave a number of instructions to the government and the local authorities following the results of the All-Ukrainian meeting for supporting the real sector of the national economy, held in Dnipropetrovsk yesterday, says ForUm referring to the President’s press service.
Yanukovych, in particular, instructed Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to analyze the effectiveness of use by economic agents the economic development tax incentives provided for in the Tax Code of Ukraine. The President also instructed to keep monitoring the timely VAT reimbursement to businesses.
Viktor Yanukovych also stressed that the Government should develop effective mechanisms to overcome the structural deformations in different industries, providing for rapid development of industries producing goods with high added value.
The President paid special attention to the need for protection of domestic producers in domestic and foreign markets.
Viktor Yanukovych also instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to sign long-term contracts with the Ukrzaliznytsya railway company and domestic enterprises in the transport engineering on vehicles delivery.
The President noted the importance of involving local enterprises in the process of power engineering construction of new and reconstruction of the existing power units.
According to the instructions of the President, the relevant Ministries should also develop mechanisms for state support of agricultural machinery and the creation of new, competitive models of equipment, as well as measures to increase purchases of domestic equipment.
Viktor Yanukovych instructed the local authorities to provide for measures to support the development of production and promotion of consumption of domestic products with high added value.
The President also directed the government to speed up work on issues of industrial cooperation with Russia. «We talk much, but we have not achieved any results so far. We are talking about a number of joint ventures. We have partially discussed them already, but we need to make final decisions,» Viktor Yanukovych said.
