This was announced on August 13 by Mykola Azarov during a meeting with top economists of Ukraine.
"Large-scale debt problems in Europe have a negative impact on banking sector and real economy. In these circumstances it is very important to get ahead of the possible risks to the national economy. We can not afford a suspension of development - Prime Minister appealed to the economists. - The welfare of our citizens and the welfare of society as a whole is a priority of our Government activities. All that we are discussing is of fundamental importance for the life of the Ukrainians, that is, cost containment, new jobs, a growth of savings… "
During the meeting, academic economists offered mechanisms to counter the influence of negative global economic trends on Ukrainian economy. In this respect, Prime Minister said that Free Trade Area with the CIS countries would improve the balance of payments of Ukraine: "We expect that several restrictions on the delivery of our pipes will be removed, particularly to Russia. Indeed, the negative balance of the domestic balance of payments is primarily due to a high price for Russian gas. "
In addition, Mykola Azarov said that the Cabinet of Ministers was already developing a 4-year training programme for our athletes to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. This programme will provide for construction of sports infrastructure. «Now the sports facilities are at a quite different level. This is a fusion of science, sports, medicine, modern technology, and if we want to preserve our achievements in professional sport, we need to do a lot,» - Prime Minister said.
