Mykola Azarov considers that the format "3 +1" is the best for cooperation with the Customs Union

Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said the format «3 +1» was the best solution for Ukraine’s cooperation with the Customs Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan).
He stated this during a meeting with chief editors of CIS, Baltic states and Georgia in Kiev on Saturday.
«We proposed a normal form of cooperation,» 3 +1". We say no, this format does not suit us. I hope that this format sooner or later be adopted, because otherwise can not be. Three countries formed the basis; in that negotiations Ukraine did not participate, we have not seen these 120 contracts and have not studied how they affect us. We have to hold new talks and say that, like this one item does not suit us, let us together find out — and this will be better for you and it will be useful for us. If we be refused, so we will finish this conversation. And if we start the process of mutual negotiation so we step by step will move in the right direction. In any case, we can not be impose that does not meet the national interests of Ukraine" — Mykola Azarov said.
Mykola Azarov added that Ukraine is interested in creating free trade areas with the EU as well as with the CIS and other countries. «In addition to agreements on free trade area with the EU and the CIS, we are working on FTAs with other countries. We advocate not creating barriers on borders of our countries to develop business opportunities» — he said.
