TAIEX mission assessing agricultural/forestry machinery conformity took place

As of this year Oct 2–4, TAIEX (Technical Assistance Information Exchange) mission on the assessment of agricultural/forestry machinery conformity took place within Kyiv, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
As to the report, the Mission was supported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and the EU Project «Support to the implementation of agricultural and food policy within Ukraine».
Reportedly, the Mission met with Ukrainian agricultural/forestry machinery experts (in part., Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Infrastructure, State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection, researches, representatives of the Ukrainian conformity assessment bodies and profile associations).
As to the report, the EU experts explained to the Ukrainian experts the issues of the practical application of the EU legislation on assessment of the agricultural/forestry machinery conferment and provided recommendations for the compiling of the Technical Regulation for type and control over the agricultural/forestry vehicles’ market.
Besides, the Mission and the Ukrainian experts also discussed the structure of the EU bodies responsible for the approval of the EU type and technical services, requirements for the agricultural/forestry machinery output control, environmental requirements, test methods, etc.
As to the report, within the meeting, the Mission established a constructive dialogue with the Ukrainian experts — what is to prompt the Ukrainian legislation further improvement as for the agricultural/forestry machinery issues.
