Six Belarusian food industry companies to obtain EU export permissions

13.07.2018 12:28 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of this week, six Belarusian food industry companies have submitted applications to obtain the right to export their products to the European Union, Belarus Radio says referring to Belarus Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo report. «So far, five Belarusian dairy companies and one fish company — Santa Bremor — have been already authorized to export their products to the European Union. In meanwhile, other six companies have submitted the corresponding applications,» Brylo admitted. As to him, now the European Union share within the Belarus total food export is small. «Last year we shipped US$140 million worth of food products to the European Union. Our main EU partners are Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, and Germany. Certainly, the European market is interesting for us. But the certification is one of the important matters and so we are trying to fix it. A dialogue is within progress,» he said.
