Tekhagro to build 3 terminals at Yuzhniy port for US$198 million

04.06.2018 11:46 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As to Tekhagro Ltd Director Viacheslav Boyalskiy, Tekhagro Ltd is going to construct 3 sea terminals (grains, container, bulk and total goods) within the sea trade port Yuzhny (Odesa region), Ukrinform says referring to the Transport Strategies Center report. As to him, the 3 ports total cost is US$198 million. As to Boyalskiy, now Tekhagro Ltd owns a 82 ha land plot at the entrance to the Yuzhniy port water area, with a 280 meters berthing front (depth — about 17 m), what will make it possible to berth ships with 150,000–170,000 tons carrying capacity. As to the report, the construction of the grains terminal is scheduled to begin as of 2020 (commissioning — 2021). As expected, at the initial stage the grains terminal will handle 4.5 million tons per year (incl. 400,000 tons flour, 200,000 tons vegetable oils). Reportedly, the container terminal will have a capacity of 2 million tons and will cover an area of 22 ha. As to Boyalskiy, the terminal for bulk and total goods, is planned to handle 2–2.5 million tons per year. To avoid dust, it will be equipped with two covered tunnels.
