Mukachevo local government, community achieved ‘green’ projects successful implementation

16.04.2018 20:03 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of last week, within Mukachevo (Zakarpatska region), Head of the Ukrainian State Department of Energy Efficiency Serghiy Savchuk took part within the events dedicated to the opening of the Information and Training Center on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Government Portal reports. Also, on the occasion of this event, the city residents were greeted by Acting Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee Oleksandr Dombrovskiy, Mukachevo Mayor Andriy Baloga and other officials. «I am convinced that the Information and Training Center will become the center of valuable knowledge, new technologies and practical solutions for consumers and businesses aimed at implementing energy efficiency measures and ‘green’ projects, reduce energy consumption and save on paying for energy,» Savchuk stated. As to the report, the events’ participants got acquainted with several successfully implemented projects of the use of renewable energy sources within Mukachevo. Thus, for instance, the events’ participants visited the Fisher sport equipment factory, where 2 solid fuel boilers had been installed (total capacity - 6 MW). As raw materials, the boilers use wood processing wastes (wooden chips). About EUR2 million were invested into the boilers’ installing. As a result, as of 2017, the Fisher factory substituted about 3 mn cubic meters of natural gas with the wooden chips.
