Uzbekistan to build a new sugar plant

03.04.2018 23:27 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Uzbekistan is going to build a sugar pant in order to ensure the country «sugar» independence, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to UzDaily report. As to the report, as of recent, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has examined the water reservoir construction process within the Uzbekistan Zafarabad district. The water reservoir is to give the water to the 20,000 ha of unused land, help expand sown crops’ areas (to grow agricultural crops for export/domestic usage) and receive high income. «We plan to grow and recycle sugar beet here and build a sugar plant — what is very important for Uzbekistan sugar independence ensuring. The beet processing wastes might be used as animal feeds — what will prompt the country livestock development,» Mirzijiov admits. As to the report, Mirziyoyev has instructed the responsible persons to assure the high-quality construction work and provide all the necessary financial and organizational assistance.
