Volyn region sugar output highest within Ukrainian entire independence period

27.03.2018 23:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of yesterday, while speaking within the Volyn Region State Administration daily briefing, Yuriy Gorbenko, Director of the Regional Department of the Agro-Industrial Development, said within 2017 Volyn region reached highest sugar output within Ukrainian entire independence period, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers reports. As to Gorbenko, within this year the Volyn region has a possibility to enlarge the sugar beet sown areas, since within 2017 the third of four regional sugar plants, the Agro Express-Service, started working after having had been modernized. «The newly modernized plant, within just the first year of its work, has produced over 60,000 tons sugar, what has eventually lifted the Volyn region sugar total output boost up to 160,000 tons (just within this season) - the highest result within Ukrainian entire independence period,» he said. As to Gorbenko, another Volyn region sugar plant, Gorokhovskiy Sugar Plant, is able to start sugar beet processing only since this year Sept. In meanwhile, he added that within this year Gnidavskiy Sugar Plant will continue sugar beet processing; besides, Pan Kurchak Companies Group will give all the necessary equipment for the Volyn region agrarians to perform their sugar beet sowing campaign.
