Porishenko, Macron meeting

As of today, within his working visit to France, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko discussed the intensification of economic cooperation between the two countries with President of France Emmanuel Macron, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
«We have performed substantial negotiations on the agenda of our bilateral relations. We have agreed to speed up the holding of the session of the bilateral economic intergovernmental commission. We have agreed on certain directions of cooperation. Cooperation in energy sphere, particularly I have raised the issue of attraction of French investors in the waste processing industry. Our cooperation in agricultural and processing industries, as well as improvement of the investment climate are very important,» Poroshenko informed within the joint press conference with the President of France.
«We are determined to expand the agenda of our bilateral cooperation,» Poroshenko emphasized.
As to him, the parties have discussed the creation of natural and comfortable conditions for the French companies in Ukraine, which will promote the intensification and expansion of French investments in various spheres, including solar power.
As to the report, the Ukrainian President informed that he would meet with heads of several leading French companies - investors after the meeting with the French Prime Minister.
As to the report, Poroshenko expressed confidence that the two countries would actively develop multilateral cooperation with the EU as well. «I am grateful to France for supporting our vectors of cooperation in the form of the implementation of the Association Agreement. My congratulations on the completion of the ratification. We obtained the visa-free regime, we ensured the energy independence of our state winning the Stockholm case,» he said.
As to the report, Macron assured that France and other G7 countries would assist Ukraine in its ambitious project of reforms to ensure the best management. He also welcomed the involvement of Ukraine into the Paris Environmental Agreement. «We see your willingness to implement these reforms. We are hopeful that everything will be reflected in concrete initiatives,» the President of France noted.
