Kutoviy: Ukrainian small and medium-sized companies to receive 70% of EIB loan

13.02.2017 13:46 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of last week, while meeting with the European Investment Bank Vazil Hudák representative, Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Taras Kutoviy said some 70% of the loan allocated by the European Investment Bank (EIB) under «The main loan for the agricultural sector - Ukraine» project will be given to the Ukrainian small and medium-sized companies, Ukrinform reports. «The loan from the European Investment Bank should become a real tool to support business development, especially for small and medium producers. Under the project, EUR400 million will be added from the Ukrainian banks participating within the project to the initial sum of EUR400 million from the European Bank. We also hold active talks with the Finance Ministry, as well as Ukreximbank so that to accelerate this project implementation,» Kutoviy said. As to the report, the Minister has stressed that at least 70% of the loan is planned to be given to small and medium-sized agrarian companies, while other 30% will be given to operators of the State sector: research stations, laboratories and institutions on fisheries monitoring and control.
