ORO AGRI appoints Sabino Lorusso as Business Development and Technical Support manager for Italy

ORO AGRI International Ltd has appointed Mr. Sabino Lorusso as Business Development and Technical Support for Italy. He will focus the company’s efforts in developing and supporting the innovative insecticide-fungicide PREV-AMÒ in Italy while providing assistance across Europe as team leader for PREV-AM.«Sabino has an extensive knowledge of, and practical experience with biopesticides, especially with PREV-AM,» explains Ms. Carol Pullen, General Manager Europe. «He was involved in the registration trials for PREV-AM PLUS in Italy in collaboration with NUFARM Italia. In 2015, PREV-AM PLUS obtained the authorization in Italy and immediately it became a key product in olives to control the xylella vectors. Sabino’s main role will be to support PREV-AM by training technicians and growers and developing the product, especially on new emerging pests and diseases that are affecting Europe.» «I am very pleased to have the opportunity to be part of ORO AGRI, a growing company that aims at developing highly effective and low environmental impact biorational products,» says Sabino. «PREV-AM has very high potential in the field and greenhouse and the current label is just a starting point. Thanks to the innovative mode of action, PREV-AM could represent a cross-protection product for growers and a key tool for resistance prevention and management.» Sabino is a biologist having graduated from the University of Bari with a Masters degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He previously worked for NUFARM Italia, where Sabino provided technical support and development for PREV-AM PLUS, running trials and spending much time in the field with growers.
