Minister Kutoviy: Farmers to get UAH5.5 milliard as State support next year

As of today, while speaking in Baturin (Chernighiv region) within a field meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Agrarian Policy and Land Relations, Ukrainian Agriculture Minister Taras Kutoviy has said the sum of UAH5.5 milliard is stipulated by the 2017 State Budget in support of small and medium-size farmers — what is almost 20 times up against 2016, Ukrinform reports.
«Our suggestion is to direct 1% of the Ukrainian gross agricultural output to support small and medium-sized producers — those who have, first and foremost, livestock, processing, additional jobs. The issue here is about UAH5.5 milliard in the draft Budget,» he said.
«The size of the support will not be 25,000 but from 500,000 to 700,000, and up to one million hryvnyas,» he said.
