Over 20 Ukrainian agricultural companies will be privatized in the nearest time

10.03.2016 12:58 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — The privatization of the State-owned companies within the Ukrainian agrarian industry is a very important direction of the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food activity. Moreover, it is very important to complete the privatization of large agricultural companies by the end of the current year, Government Portal says referring to the Oleksiy Pavlenko, Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, report. As to Pavlenko, the Ministry is ready to transfer 429 business entities to the Ukrainian State Property Fund. «As the result of privatization of the agrarian industry companies, over than 100,000 people will receive their land shares. They have been waiting for this time for over 20 years», the Minister underlined. As to the report, 21 companies are included in the list of the State-owned companies to be sold in 2016. «I have reiterated this many times: transparent agricultural privatization is one of the main preconditions for successful reforms, completing the war on corruption and further growth of the industry’s economic performance,» Pavlenko stressed. «The privatization of companies means new development prospects for them, increased investments and new technologies, and, more generally, the creation of new jobs, development of rural communities and budget revenues,» the Minister summed up.
