Poroshenko, Biden agreed to coordinate actions for Minsk agreements full implementation

As of yesterday, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko
had a meeting with the US Vice President Joseph Biden in Davos, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the meeting lasted over 4 hours. As to the Ukrainian President, the parties discussed security issues first of all. «We reached a conclusion that there is no alternative to the Minsk process. We enjoy full support from the United States regarding the implementation of the Minsk process. We agreed to coordinate actions in order to ensure the ceasefire and provide access to the border and heavy weapons storage facilities for the OSCE SMM. We also agreed to coordinate actions for the liberation of Ukrainian hostages,» Poroshenko told.
As to the report, the parties also coordinated actions to intensify political process including the elaboration of the modalities of elections in the occupied territories under the Ukrainian legislation with broad participation of the international observers.
Reportedly, significant attention was paid to the US support for the Ukrainian reforms and intensification of military-technical cooperation. Poroshenko thanked the US Vice President for the recent assistance in the amount of US$23 million.
«We agreed to continue this cooperation,» Poroshenko said.
As to the report, the parties also discussed security and defense reform. It is to be admitted, the US takes active part in this process.
As to the report, they also discussed energy cooperation. «It was clearly emphasized that the Nord Stream 2 is a purely political project aimed against Ukraine and the majority of EU states. We must act efficiently to stop it,» the Ukrainian President stressed.
Also, within the context of the discussion of cooperation with the IMF, the Ukrainian President thanked the United States for the firm financial and reformist support to Ukraine.
«The agenda was really extensive. It was a true friendly conversation of states-partners. I am grateful to the US for that,» Poroshenko emphasized.
