Shymkiv: "Strategy of Reforms – 2020" is achievement of European living standards

The Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Council of Reforms Dmytro Shymkiv presented the «Strategy of Reforms - 2020» to the public, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
«The main thing in the implementation of the given reforms is values that united us in our desire to live under the European standards and were demonstrated to the whole world in the course of the Revolution of Dignity,» Dmytro Shymkiv said.
The purpose of reforms is the achievement of European living standards and decent place for Ukraine in the world. «Strategy - 2020» contains more than 60 reforms. Among them the top priorities are the renewal of government, anti-corruption reform, judicial reform, decentralization and state governance reform, deregulation and development of entrepreneurship, reform of the law enforcement system, reform of the national security and defense system, health-care reform and tax reform. Also, two most urgent state programs were defined: energy independence and promotion of Ukraine in the world.
The key figures to be achieved by 2020: increase the share of GDP per capita from $8508 to $16000, reach the top 20 countries in the ease of doing business, raise $40 billion in foreign direct investment, bring military expenditures from current 1.02% to 5% of GDP, increase average life expectancy by 3 years.
As to report, Shymkiv noted that «only management of something that can be measured can be efficient». «Strategy - 2020» provides for the mechanism of constant monitoring of the efficiency.
It is to be admitted, the event was held in the National University of «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy». The presentation was attended by NGO representatives, members of political parties, public figures, experts, scientists, representatives of business associations and media.
