Ukrainian President met with ambassadors of EU and G7 countries

As of yesterday, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with ambassadors of the EU and G7 countries. The parties discussed coordination of further actions in the international arena to facilitate peaceful process, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the Head of State expressed gratitude for the support of the leading countries of the world in a difficult situation. «It is a true test for our relations,» Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
The President underlined the importance of cooperation with G7 countries during foreign political events of the last weeks - participation in the meeting of the European Council, NATO Summit in Wales, working visits to Canada and the United States.
In this context, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt once again confirmed the words of President Barack Obama during the meeting with President Poroshenko that the USA was willing to support Ukraine and develop closer partnership with it.
As to the report, the Head of State informed the ambassadors on the developments in the Donbas noting that the situation was still difficult. At the same time, he stressed that Ukraine was fulfilling all its obligations under Minsk agreements. As to him, the precondition of further positive dynamics would be the adherence to the agreements by all the parties, particularly: bilateral ceasefire regime, withdrawal of Russian troops, liberation of hostages, control over the Ukrainian-Russian border, establishment of buffer area and efficient monitoring and verification by the OSCE.
Reportedly, the meeting was attended by Ambassador of the United States Geoffrey Pyatt, Ambassador of the EU Jan Tombinski, Ambassador of Germany Christoph Weil, Ambassador of France Alan Remy, Ambassador of Japan Toichi Sakata, Ambassador of Italy Fabrizio Romano, Ambassador of the UK Simon Smith, Charge d’Affaires ad interim of Canada to Ukraine Anne Mattson-Gauss.
