The Government approved of the concept of tourism and resorts development until 2022

02.08.2013 09:21 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — The Cabinet of Ministers at its Thursday meeting on 1 August approved of the Concept of the State Target Programme for the Development of Tourism and Resorts until 2022. The Concept was developed by the State Committee for Tourism and Resorts in the framework of the implementation of the National Plan of Action of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, Mykola Azarov Official Website reports. The program will include measures to create conditions for the identification of the tourist profile of regions, tourist subdivision of the country and to create conditions for attracting investments. The program will also include measures to create conditions for the development of priority types of tourism, sustainable management of the resort area and to improve sanitation and health care. The State target program will provide for a system of spreading information on tourism opportunities in Ukraine, increase in the security level for tourists and to improve the quality of hotels and other accommodation facilities. In addition, the Concept includes a plan to harmonize the Ukrainian legislation and the regulatory base in compliance with the EU standards. The program will also include measures to deregulate tourist activities and to implement public and private partnership in the field of tourism, as well as to improve statistical reporting in the industry based on the methodology of the World Tourism Organization.
