Arbuzov: Ukrainian AIC is able to provide food security of the state

Domestic AIC is able to provide not only food security of the state, but also expand foreign trade. This was started by First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov during a meeting of the Government, which was held under his chairmanship on July 24, 2013, Government Portal reports.
He noted that this approach primarily allows citizens to buy agricultural products at affordable prices. Indeed, in addition to a record grain harvest, there are growth rates in other sectors of agriculture in the country.
«The Government is expected on reviling of economic growth. The Budget will receive additional revenuers. Our confidence is based on the following facts. First of all we expect some improvement at the foreign markets. This will help to expand exports and create positive dynamics of most major types of economic activity: industry, transport, wholesale trade,» Serhiy Arbuzov added.
In addition, favorable weather conditions caused an increase of grain yield by one-third compared with last year and it is expected that Ukraine will have a record harvest.
«The amount of livestock has also stable rates and continues to rise (5.2% in January-June). The production of beef (1.4%), pork (7.1%), chicken (14.2%) has increased Since the beginning of the year inUkraine. The fact that the Ukrainian producers of poultry now are able to export their products to European countries promotes expand geography of exports. This year, Ukraine has all chances to enter the top ten world leaders in the export of chicken,» the First vice Prime predicts.
Serhiy Arbuzov is also convinced that an implementation of the State Program of Economic Revitalization for 2013–2014 would give positive impact on economic dynamics. Its implementation will create conditions for the promotion of the internal market and domestic production.
«The Government understands that economic growth of Ukraine is limited by external factors, so it continues in its work to determine the development of domestic production as priority,» Serhiy Arbuzov added.
