President: We are looking at future Summit in Vilnius with hope

"Ukraine is willing to fulfill all items of the Plan of Actions on signing the Association Agreement in the course of the Vilnius Summit «Eastern Partnership» in November 2013," the Ukrainian President said.
«We are looking at the future Summit in Vilnius with hope. We are willing to fulfill all our obligations,» Viktor Yanukovych said yesterday in the course of the joint press conference of the Presidents after the session of the Visegrad Four Presidents’ Summit in Wisla, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
According to the President, the majority of laws on European integration will be adopted in the course of this plenary week.
«We understand that the agenda approved by Ukraine and the European Commission must have been fulfilled by November. The majority of laws will be adopted this week,» the Head of State stressed.
At the same time, he noted that certain laws required expert estimation, including that of the Venice Commission. Viktor Yanukovych emphasized that the law on public prosecution was among those laws. The given laws can be adopted at the beginning of the next parliamentary session in September.
The Head of State also emphasized the importance of support of the Visegrad Four in the implementation of European integration aspirations of Ukraine.
In his turn, President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski noted that in the course of the Summit, Viktor Yanukovych had told about the fulfillment of Ukrainian obligations in the context of signing the Association Agreement with the EU.
«We were pleased to hear that all the laws will be submitted to the Parliament and approved,» he said. The President of Poland stressed that the law on public prosecution was the most important.
Bronislaw Komorowski also emphasized that the parties had discussed the situation of former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko. «On behalf of all Presidents of the Visegrad Four, I am pleased to say that Viktor Yanukovych is looking for the ways to solve this problem under Ukrainian legislation or by making amendments to the legislation,» he noted.
