President: Council of National and Foreign Investors must ensure efficient usage of investments

18.03.2013 08:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — The Council of National and Foreign Investors must ensure efficient usage of investments for the development of Ukrainian economy. It was stated by the President in the course of Ukrainian-Latvian business-forum held within last week, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports. «In order to develop Ukrainian economy and accelerate integration into European and global economic system, we are establishing the Council of National and Foreign Investors and the system of similar bodies in all regions,» the President said. The Head of State noted that investments were first of all aimed at state modernization because «the development of modern and competitive production and participation of local communities in cross-border programs are the instruments that would guarantee success». Viktor Yanukovych stressed that not only foreign, but also national investors took part in those processes. The President expressed belief that active participation of Ukrainian business representatives in the renewal of Ukraine, their cooperation with the government in the framework of state-private partnership would facilitate trust in Ukraine of foreign investors. «When local business invests money together with the government, guarantees of favorable business environment increase,» the President emphasized.
