Mykola Azarov: 2012 year created well foundation to continue reform next year

In 2013, the Government intends to continue the implementation of reforms and modernization of Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov informed about this on his page on the social network Facebook, Government Portal reports.
The year that comes to the end with its entire problem by the way has created well foundation to continue reform and modernization of our country in 2013 year. The new Government of Ukraine is targeted on this and these tasks it will do in the new year," Mykola Azarov said.
He said that the brightest event of the year was the Euro 2012. «Our country was visited by more than 8 million tourists. On the other hand, this event allowed us to implement a number of large scale national projects,» the Prime Minister said.
In addition, PM said, 2012 will remember by social initiatives of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. According to him, the Government had to hold a very serious job to fulfill them in full.
«And there was not only wage and pensions increase, but also the payment of compensation for depreciated deposits to population, the program of affordable housing and more. Despite the crisis, we have managed to maintain stability in the country and perhaps it is the most importantly achievement of the Government», Mykola Azarov said.
Surely, PM added there were many problems. These are high prices for gas, difficult situation in the global financial markets and many others.
Unfortunately, Mykola Azarov said, because of shortage of financial resources the government has failed to fully implement all the plans that have been identified in the past year. This applies to economic growth and, consequently, associated with this the solution of a number of large and ambitious projects.
«But if you look at 20-year history of Ukraine, it is reasonable to ask how many of these projects were implemented for this story? To be objective, we see that there was anyone and that they have appeared only in recent years.
In 2012 year, the country has been actively engaged in the modernization of the economy. In many areas and regions, new production plants have been created with absolutely different technological level than we had before. And this is our big positive and a great achievement for us,» he said.
