State Reserve invited 20.000t beef/pork purchase tender

State Committee for Material Reserves
has invited tender for 20.000t meat (1 category beef — 15.000t, pork -
5.000t) purchasing, reports State Reserve.
As to report, applications for contest participation are
accepted until Apr 18, 12.00, while on Apr 18, 15.00 offers promulgation
will be held.
As earlier reported, Cabinet had granted to State Reserve
UAH500 million meat purchasing loan; simultaneously, Cabinet had shortened
tender invitation period from 45 down to 5 days.
State Reserve is going to start domestic meat market
interventions immediately after tender finishing.
Earlier Cabinet had commissioned State Reserve to organize
(jointly with Company Ukrspozhivspilka) reduced prices meat retail sale
system, while State Reserve was commissioned to start purchasing ?
UAH11–12/kg pork/beef on special auctions.
Within Mar, 21 regions beef (cattle) markets prices have grown
to UAH16.93–23.1/kg (up 1.1–18.8% against Feb), while 22 regions pork
markets prices boosted to UAH19–27/kg (up 0.9–21.8% as of Feb).
In Mar, 25 regions poultry meat markets prices have raised to
UAH11.6–14.75/kg (up 0.9–24.9% against Feb).
Baranovskiy considers expedient Ukrainian petroleum/gas be used for
Agrarian-Industrial Complex fuel/fertilizers production
Agro Perspective (Kyiv) — As Oleksandr Baranovskiy,
Minister of Agrarian Policy, reported on Cabinet meeting on conceptual
approach to Ukrainian Agrarian Sector Support/Development Complex Program,
he is for petroleum/gas extracted in Ukraine to be used for domestic
agricultural companies petroleum products/mineral fertilizers production.
Baranovskiy declared agrarians mineral fertilizers/diesel fuel
shipments (due to agreements reached between Government, petroleum traders
and chemical plants) are being executed not in full.
As earlier reported, Cabinet demanded from petroleum
processing plants shipping to agrarians daily 6.600t diesel fuel for
springtime field works.
It is to be reminded, Cabinet agreed with petroleum
processing plants about supplying agrarians with 600.000t diesel fuel
(UAH2.400/t) for spring sowing, yet within last days plants have boosted
prices.
As to Ministry of Agrarian Policy experts, domestic
agrarians annual diesel fuel requirement is 1.9 million tons (with 0.6 million tons needed for spring sowing).
