Rostselmash raising grain combines’ export

Company Rostselmash, Russian biggest harvesters’ producer, is to ship ≈ 500 grain combines to Byelorussia in 2005. Nadezhda Kotkovets, Byelorussian Republic’s Agriculture Deputy Minister, has declared on Byelorussian and Russian Producers’ Meeting held in Minsk within Dec 15-17, that ≈ 500 grain combines of Rostselmash’s make were planned to be acquired in 2005. Delegation of Rostov region’s companies was headed by Viacheslav Vasilenko, Rostov region’s Agriculture Minister. Parties discussed 2005 cooperation’s prospects. Question of Russian grain combines’ shipment turned to be one of the meeting’s main issues. As to Nadezhda Kotkovets, within further Byelorussian grain combine fleet’s renovation, Byelorussian industrial plants will be able to assure just the half of necessary grain combines’ number. “Therefore, - stated N. Kotkovets, - acquiring of Russian grain combines by Byelorussian agrarians is one of Byelorussian Agriculture Ministry’s most actual problem.” Mrs. Kotkovets added, in case of Russian grain combines’ purchasing preference will be given only to grain combines Don-1500B, now the most productive of all produced by Rostselmash. As to Rostselmash’s press-service, presently grain combines Don-1500B are considered highly advantageous among Byelorussian Agrarian-Industrial Complex’s experts. Within recent years Rostselmash has substantially expanded its presence on international markets. Grain combines of Rostselmash’s make are now exported to Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Byelorussia, Azerbaijan, Serbia and Montenegro. Within nine months of 2004 Rostselmash’s export has grown up 39% against last year similar period. Export’s share of total Company’s shipments has grown up to 24% in 2004 (against previous 22%); Rostselmash plans its shipments’ export share further raising up to 33% in 2005.
