VR adopted Law regulating agricultural machinery traffic safety

02.07.2010 11:07 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Verkhovna Rada has adopted Law about Ukrainian Agrarian-Industrial Complex engineering and technical assistance system. Law was voted for by 304 people deputies (of total 381 registered in VR session hall). Law is targeted mainly at assuring of agricultural machinery operation in Ukraine which is safe for environment and people health/life. In part., Law stipulates that notion «machinery» should imply tractors, self-propelled chassis, self-propelled agricultural, road construction and reclamation machinery, agricultural machinery and other mechanisms involved in traffic of road network of common use within time of movement from their work site due to current legislation. Besides, Law also stipulates that State technical control over agricultural machinery conformity with safety standards should be performed by authorized body of central executive authority on agricultural policy issues — that is, Main Inspection of State Technical Supervision and its territorial bodies. Law also stipulates functions of Main Inspection. Besides, Law stipulates functions, rights and power of State inspectors who serve at Main Inspection of State Technical Supervision.
