EU limited Ukrainian sunoil import

27.05.2008 13:25 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — European Union has restricted Ukrainian sunoil import due to mineral ois admixture found in sunoil, reported news agencies referring to EU representatives.

As to report, sunoil import renewal will be permitted only after careful analysis able to guarantee sunoil safety is performed.

This year May 23, EU declared 27 EU member countries will have to control each Ukrainian sunoil lot and report in case if mineral ois admixture is so high as to make sunoil unfit for consumption.

As to Agro Perspective earlier report, EU declared its readiness to prohibit Ukrainian sunoil import on this year May 21, after Kyiv had appeared unable to give guarantee of sunoil being free from mineral ois admixture.

However, Ukrainian side gave guarantees of laboratory test to be made and necessary certificates to be issued for each exported sunoil lot; besides, Ukraine obliged to export not a single lot without these certificates, declared Vasyl Fylypchuk, Deputy Chairman of Ukrainian Representation to EU.
