Ministry of Agrarian Policy suggests renewing State Plants Quarantine Service tariffs

As to Ministry of Agrarian Policy draft Decree “About Approving of Payment Rates for Services of Ukrainian State Plants Quarantine Service” (published on Ministry official website), Ministry has proposed to Cabinet to revise current tariffs of State Plants Quarantine Service/introduce new ones. As to Ministry of Agrarian Policy experts, issuing of phytosanitary certificate for a lot below 50 MT should be charged with UAH46,4 fee (50-100 MT – UAH92,8; 200-1,000 MT – UAH185,6; over 1,000 MT – UAH139,2 MT per each 1,000 MT). As to experts, Quarantine Service tariff for issuing of reexport phytosanitary certificate should equal to UAH55,0 for a lot below 50 MT (200-1,000 MT – UAH220,0; over 1,000 MT – UAH165,0 MT per each 1,000 MT). Tariff for issuing of import (transit) quarantine permission should equal to UAH58,32 for a lot below 50 MT (200-1,000 MT – UAH233,28; over 1,000 MT – UAH174,96 MT per each 1,000 MT). As well, Ministry has proposed to set tariffs for issuing of quarantine certificate as much as UAH54,33 for a lot below 50 MT (200-1,000 MT – UAH218,12 MT; over 1,000 MT – UAH163,59 for each 1,000 MT). Besides, Ministry has also suggested establishing new tariffs for sown areas examination, goods fumigation and inspection of regulated objects. Upon whole, Ministry draft Decree suggests establishing of tariff rates for examination, analysis, disinfections, inspection, processing, organizing and control over works on regulated objects goods fumigation. Besides, Ministry has as well proposed to fix payment rates for examination of goods lots with phytosanitary certificate issuance and for sown areas examination, warehouses check-up, etc.. Thus, Ministry of Agrarian Policy tries to protect agricultural products from quarantine organisms (weeds, pests, diseases) spreading. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, Ministry of Agrarian Policy had already proposed to raise tariffs for check-up, examination, analysis, disinfections, inspection and processing of goods and for organizing and control over works on regulated objects fumigation.
