India will not prolong term of duty-free import of wheat.

The government of India has made a decision to not prolong term of duty-free import of wheat which has expired on February, 28th. It is expected, that in 2007 will be collected a good harvest that will allow the government to buy(purchase) all volume of wheat necessary for the program of preferential sale of grain to the population from local manufacturers.
At the same time the opportunity of use of this mechanism of filling in the further is not excluded, transfers(transmits) IK «news». According to minister of the foodstuffs Akhilesha Prasada Synge (Akhilesh Prasad Singh), for the program of preferential sale of wheat it is necessary to buy(purchase) in 2007/08 MG (begins on March, 14th) 15,15 million t wheats.
According to the forecast minselkhoza the USA, in 2007/08 MG (April-March) India imports nearby 3 million t wheats that will render povyshatelnoe influence on the world prices.
Despite of increase in internal manufacture at 3,6 % up to 72,5 million t, significant volumes of production will be put on the Indian market that speaks a low stock rate.
Harvesting in India passes(takes place) in March-April.
According to the forecast of Minister of Agriculture of India Charade Pavara (Sharad Pawar), manufacture of wheat in the country in 2007 can exceed predicted 72,5 million t, that there is more than parameter of the last year on 4,3 %. Gathering of a good harvest is promoted by favorable weather conditions, namely loss recently plentiful deposits.
According to minister that the volume of manufacture has exceeded the predicted parameter, favorable weather conditions should be kept approximately up to the middle of March.
Owing to reduction of internal manufacture of wheat in 2006/07 MG, the government of India it has been compelled(forced) to get in the world market 5,5 million t, and the import customs duties have been cancelled. Also import of wheat by the private(individual) companies which have put 1 million t has been resolved. In the previous some(a little bit) seasons the country was net-exporter this production.
