Jun yeast output down 4%, to 6,202 MT

25.07.2006 13:44 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Within this year Jun food companies have declined yeast output to 6,202 MT, down 264 MT (- 4.08%) against this year May and down 516 MT (- 7.68%) as of last year Jun, reported Agrarika Ltd referring to Jun companies data.

As to Agrarika Ltd, this year Jan-Jun yeast output totaled 38,890 MT (down against 42,396 MT in Jan-Jun 2005).

As earlier reported, within this year May food companies had lowered yeast production to 6,466 MT, down 477 MT (- 6.9%) against this year Apr and down 380 MT (- 5.6%) as of last year May.

2006 Jan-May yeast output totaled 32,688 MT (down against 35,678 MT in 2005 Jan-May).

Reportedly, within this year Apr food companies had boosted yeast output to 6,943 MT, up 111 MT (+ 1.6%) as of this year Mar.

Within 2005 food companies had raised yeast output to 85,860 MT, up 747 MT (+ 1%) as of 2004.

Ukrainian 2005 yeast highest outputs were produced by companies Enzim (Lviv region),

JV Odesski Drizhi and Nadiya (Dnipropetrivsk region).

In 2005, yeast was produced in Ukraine by 16 companies.

2004 yeast output totaled 85,117 MT.

Experts estimate Ukrainian domestic market annual yeast capacity 110,000 MT.
