Groisman: Ukravtodor is preparing a national strategy for road ssytem development

20.06.2017 15:13 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while inspecting the ongoing repair activities on the road M-04 Znamianka - Luhansk - Izvaryne (Kirovograd region), Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman ha said the Ukrainian The Ukravtodor State Agency of Motor Roads is shaping the national strategy for the development of the road system for the medium term period and these plans are to be subsequently launched at the local level within all regions, Government Portal reports. It is to be reminded, Groisman has started a trip to Kirovograd region as a part of the inspection visit to the central regions of the country. «Ukravtodor is elaborating the strategy for the road system and we have not had such a key document before. The main objective is to ensure that each region will have such a blueprint in order to take a structured approach as to repair road activities. Next year we will give a green light to the launch of the Road Fund that will offer an opportunity to obtain systemic funding as well as to improve control over the use of resources,» he noted. Besides, he also admitted drastic changes within the organization of the work and in the formation of the road system. «The activities are organized more systematically, we have a new design and estimates documentation as well as a new quality of equipment and technologies,» Groisman said, adding that an execution control ought to be at a high level.
