Ukrainian President and Minister-President of Bavaria agreed to restore Ukrainian-Bavarian Working Commission activity

As of the last week, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with Minister-President of Bavaria Horst Seehofer, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the Ukrainian President reminded that the Radio Freedom and the Ukrainian Free University functioned in Munich. He urged the Bavarian party to support the efforts of Ukraine on the enhancement of the statehood.
Also, Poroshenko thanked Angela Merkel for her efforts on restoring peace in Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of unity in the EU and prolongation of sanctions against Russia for the non-fulfillment of the Minsk agreements.
Horst Seehofer noted that Germany would continue to do everything to preserve the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
As to the report, the parties agreed to restore the activity of the Permanent Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Bavarian Working Commission.
Reportedly, the Ukrainian President noted new opportunities opened for Ukrainian and German producers of goods with the establishment of the free trade area between Ukraine and the European Union in the framework of the Association Agreement.
Besides, the Ukrainian President also expressed gratitude to Bavaria for the implementation of a series of charity projects for Ukrainian citizens, first of all treatment of children affected by the Russian aggression.
As to the report, Petro Poroshenko invited Horst Seehofer to visit Kyiv with Bavarian business delegation.
