With education "sky is the limit" for young people, says UN chief

As of Thurs, the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) issued the 2015 Education for All Global Monitoring Report.
As to the Report, now education problems and challenges remain worldwide — since only a third of countries have met their education goals and only half achieved universal primary education.
However, at same time, while commenting on the Report, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said that the Report also details many success stories. Thus, he admitted 50 million more children are in primary school today and the number of children and adolescents out of school has been cut by almost half. Besides, many countries have faced serious improvements in primary enrolment (including in the priority area of girls’ education and pre-primary education). .
«We know progress is possible when effective policy is matched with resources and will. This is a crucially important lesson as we shape the post-2015 development agenda and work to advance the goals of our Global Education First Initiative to get every child to school, ensure quality education and promote global citizenship. We know that when we work together and invest in the future the sky is the limit for young people,» he said.
It is to be admitted, UNESCO Report says that an extra US$22 milliard a year is needed on top of already ambitious government contributions to ensure that the new education targets now being set for 2030 are achieved. Thus, Ban Ki-moon emphasized that if the right investments are made in education, the sky is the limit for young people.
