Yatseniuk: After first stage of budget decentralization revenues of local budgets grew by one quarter

After the first stage of budget decentralization revenues of local budgets have boosted, Government Portal reports quoting the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk as speaking within the teleconference with heads of regional state administrations on Tues, Mar 24.
«In Jan-Feb general local budget fund received UAH13 milliard, which is by 25% more than over the same period of previous year,» Yatseniuk said.
«I realize that this is not the limit. And due to our joint work and true fight against corruption, launching the economy, the financial results will be better,» he stressed.
As to the report, the PM reminded the heads of regional state administrations had been commissioned to provide a public report for each region on the use of local budget funds.
«This commission hasn’t been implemented yet. I would ask in a month’s time to execute the Government’s commission and publish on the websites of regional state administrations the information on a weekly basis — how much money has been received and which key expenditure components they were sent for,» he emphasized.
«Transparency in the use of public funds is a requirement of today. It doesn’t mean the money of officials, but the money of the country. These are the funds paid by each Ukrainian in taxes. These are the funds of a company providing jobs and paying taxes to the State Treasury. These are the funds to be used for each Ukrainian citizen and to restore the country in whole,» Yatseniuk stressed.
