Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande

As of yesterday, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with President of France Francois Hollande and Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the President of France and the Chancellor of Germany expressed condolences over the tragedy near Volnovakha when terrorists destroyed the bus killing 13 people.
Reportedly, the parties discussed future steps on the peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas and confirmed that it could be achieved due to the complete fulfillment of all the items of the Minsk agreements. They particularly emphasized the importance of pullback to the delimitation line stipulated by the Minsk Memorandum of September 19, 2014 and withdrawal of military equipment. The Ukrainian President noted that the given process must be accompanied by the efficient and guaranteed ceasefire regime. The parties also called for the further liberation of all hostages.
As to the report, Poroshenko drew a special attention to the poor health condition of Nadiya Savchenko who was imprisoned for 7 months and starved within 33 days already in order to protest against her illegal detention. The Ukrainian President urged the international community to make every effort to liberate her.
Petro Poroshenko, Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande agreed that the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group should be held in the coming days in order to discuss the implementation of the items of the Minsk agreements, particularly on the delimitation line and the withdrawal of fighting vehicles.
As to the report, the parties have stated their readiness to further hold multilateral negotiations in the Normandy format in case the progress is achieved in the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements, the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group is held and the meeting at the level of Foreign Ministers is fruitful.
