Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

The Ukrainian President expressed gratitude to the UN Secretary-General for the international support of Ukraine consolidated by the United Nations and its international institutions, particularly the General Assembly and the Security Council, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Poroshenko also personally thanked Ban Ki-moon for his clear and unequivocal position on the illegitimacy of the so-called «elections» of November 2 and the harm they have done to the implementation of the Minsk agreements. «Your statements on this occasion have provided the right and timely signal to the world, particularly to the UN Security Council on the eve of its extraordinary session of November 12 on the situation in Ukraine,» the Head of State noted.

As to the report, the UN Secretary-General has expressed concern over the threat of disrupting the efforts aimed at peaceful resolution of the situation in the Donbas. According to him, all provisions of the Minsk agreements must be fulfilled in order to avoid further escalation.
Reportedly, Ban Ki-moon assured that the entire world supported Ukraine. The UN will make further efforts for the Minsk agreements to be complied with by all the parties in order to de-escalate the situation in the Donbas, as stated by the UN Secretary-General.
