Prasolov: Friendly relations between Ukraine and Brazil allow together implementing large-scale projects

Ukraine and Brazil have outlined practical steps for further implementation of strategic projects in the fields of space and health, minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine Ihor Prasolov said during the Sixth Joint Meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Brazilian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, ForUm reports.
He stressed that the real proof of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Brazil is a Cyclone-4 — Alcantara Joint Space Project.
«This project is extremely important not only from a commercial point of view. The success of the Cyclone-4 — Alcantara Project will be a confirmation of Ukraine and Brazil to implement projects of such magnitude,» the Minister said.
He also said that the parties agreed to explore new possibilities of space cooperation and joint development of new projects.
Also, according to the Minister, the Brazilian side offered Ukrainian space industry enterprises consider establishment of joint ventures together with Brazilian companies to improve the effectiveness of the space programs of Brazil and Ukraine.
In general, the Minister stressed that the development and deepening of cooperation meet strategic objectives and aspirations of both countries.
This primarily refers to the increase of trade, deepening cooperation in space, science and technology, industrial and pharmaceutical industries, agriculture, as well as in regional cooperation.
In turn, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil Eduardo dos Santos said that Brazil now has with Ukraine very wide ties in strategic and high-tech sectors and seeks to deepen them.
